In this post we present some good points regarding the design of the new galactic spacecraft (NGs) and give some expectations in the remodeling of the Fleet, based on this class of ships.

As has been pointed out before, the ancient starships (NEs) had a serious limitation on its scope of operation. Basically they were able to travel on without refueling a distance of up to 100 lux. This is not little, but falls short of the expectations for the larger project of colonizing the galaxy.

The new NGs have a radius of action six times greater than the NEs, and are able to refuel on their own, without relying on their mother ships(destroyers).

A group composed of at least three NGs can traverse the entire Milky Way supporting each other without the need of support from their mother ships, provided they meet along the way, sources for refueling and repairs in habitable planets or large asteroids, for example.
